Health, Safety and Well-being

We have a very high regard for the Health, Safety and the Welfare of all employees, ensuring a safe working environment and safeguarding those who may be affected by our work activities. We take this responsibility very seriously.

BSG has in place a full time Health & Safety Manager Francis Broderick who is responsible for ensuring that our Health & Safety systems and policies are effective and are adhered to, with additional support from external consultants.

The Company regards the promotion of Health, Safety and Welfare of paramount importance, and our in-house Health & Safety Committee meets on a quarterly basis with representatives from the workforce, management and director level to review, maintain and improve H & S standards.

All our employees receive regular training in correct safety procedures, ensuring that BSG keeps up with changing legislation set out by the HSE and aiding our effort towards ‘continuous improvement’ thus raising overall safety standards.

We are currently working towards BS OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety expecting to achieve accreditation in the latter part of 2010.
